<blockquote><p>Five soldiers from a Pittsburgh Air Force base, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Del-Vikings" target="_blank">Del-Vikings</a> underwent several line-up changes because of shifting tours of duty and eventually became pop&#8217;s first successful multiracial group, on the strength of &#8220;<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_Go_with_Me" target="_blank">Come Go With Me</a>.&#8221; Bass singer Quick penned the song, which the group recorded one night in a Pittsburgh hotel room.</p>
