I commend your willingness to say &quot;I understand why the Catholic Church is so opposed to abortion, but ...&quot;  I too was raised a Catholic.  Part of me feels that in a more perfect world, abortion would be irrelevant.  But, we are a long way off, with many bridges to cross.  Women need choices, not lectures.
